Welp, it's 2:04 in the morning, and it's July 1st! Meaning.....DUMDUMDUMDUMDUMDUMDUMMMMMMMM!!!

IT'S CANADA DAY!!!! YAY!!!!! I was going to go to Niagra Falls to watch the fireworks...but alas, my schedule is jam-packed with other things, like packing for Europe! I'm going over there, meeting my cousin (who is going over there from Canada)...and we're going all over Europe for eighteen days! I'm her tour guide, and the sledgehammer that will break the language barriers!

Hooray!

Anyways... I thought I'd make a little drabble for Canada, just because I've been neglecting him in my thoughts lately.

You were visiting Mathew's house in Canada, the country he represented, and was helping him cook Lunch. Mr. Kumajirou sat on his furry little butt and watched as Mathew and you went around the kitchen grabbing ingredients for the meal.

"Th-Thank you, (Name), for visiting me."  Mathew said with a soft smile.

You beamed a smile and said, "No prob, Mathew. I like visiting you."

You two continued cooking and when the meal was done, both of you ate along with Mr. Kumajirou. After cleaning up, you had to go use the bathroom.

The blonde kept his head stuffed in his pillow as he tried to blink his tears away. It didn't work.

Why did he have to be invisible? Why can't he be seen? Heck, even Sealand, once a port for the British during World War II, but declared itself independent and became (Not really) a micro nation, can be seen, but not him, Canada, that giant space that's between Alaska and America,

You shouted as you brought in a birthday cake that was in the shape of a maple leaf, the leaf of the maple tree, which Matthew loved dearly. The cake also had the Canadian flag on it, and was decked out with the words "Happy Birthday Mattie!" in black frosting. You had gone through the trouble of paying for all of the cake, and it had cost a lot.

Canada x Reader: Patio Lanterns [Songfic!]I held Kumakichi tightly, watching shyly all the other countries that came to attend the summer party. I smiled at my guest despite the fact that I knew most of them didn't really see me. Only a few smiled back at me, trying to be polite as they noticed my presence.

In truth, I'm pretty sure the only reason so many countries came today was because it was a party hosted by me and my neighbor and brother, America. He always managed to get all the attention and so everyone will attend his party. I'm almost certain that no one actually remembers that I'm one of the hosts or that the party is in Canadian territory.

“Ugh, it is freaking cold!” you whine to yourself.
Here you are, covered up in a mountain of blankets freezing your butt off as you stare at the decaying wall in front of you.
You begged your parents to let you stay in Vancouver all by yourself during winter break. You lived farther up north so you decided to visit the southern part of Canada to get away from all of the hectic school caused you. You were able to find the cheapest hostel and you went through a lot of trouble just to afford it. Now here you are, having a miserable time.
Being the oblivious person that you are, you forgot that you would be here the same time Vancouver hosted it’s Winter Olympics. Due to that, the noise level increased tremendously and every second you would see people from all over the world walking by from your window.

You sighed sadly as you watched your boyfriend being ignored AGAIN. And to make it worse.....It was his BIRTHDAY. You were angry at every country that you didn't even say hello to your best friend, China.

'How could they?! How is it that they can't even see Mattie? He's as visible as they are. Sure Mattie is quiet sometimes, but it doesn't mean that he's invisible! I mean, I'm as quiet as he is but everyone still knows I'm here.' You thought angrily. Your jaw clenched as the meeting ended and everyone but you and Mattie shot up from their seats and left.

Your head snapped to the side when you heard a sniffle.

"M-mattie!" Your sweet maple leaf was sobbing into Kumijaro, his shoulders shaking like a leaf. Your heart broke at the sight of your love crying.

you immediately went to his side and wrapped your arms around him.

"M-mattie...." You whispered.

"W-why...._______ why are you with me? I'm a....a....a loser." he whispered softly in your shoulder.

Your (e/c) widened as tears ran down your face.

"M-mattie.. DON'T EVER SAY THAT!!!" You screamed.

He jumped at volume of your voice.

Surprisingly he slowly grew angry ALSO.

"No! ______ WHY are you with me?! I'm a Loser! NOBODY EVEN KNOWS THAT I'M HERE!" He shouted at you, his tone filled with anger, sadness, and remorse.

"Why?! WHY?! BECAUSE I LOVE YOU MATTHEW WILLIAMS!! I LOVE YOU AND THAT'S ALL THAT SHOULD MATTER!" You sobbed loudly as you fell to your knees, "I love you Mattie. Isn't that enough....?"

Matthew dropped to his knees and pulled you against him. "Je suis tellement désolé. S'il vous plaît pardonnez-moi. Je suis tellement désolé!"

You nodded, sniffling a bit. "I-it's ok Mattie. I forgive you."

"__-_______, do....you love me....?" He asked you shyly.

You looked at him in surprise. "Of Course!!"

He looked down and said in a timid voice, "W-will you.....stay with me...forever..?"

Your eyes widened and your cheeks flushed. "O-ok. I'll stay with you...Forever!" You grinned at his stunned expression.

You quickly pecked him on the lips and smiled. You stood up and held a hand out for him.

"Mattie, do you want some pancakes?" You asked him, similing from ear to ear.

He blushed as he took your hand, "Y-yes please."

With that you both left to his house where you stayed the night.
